Here we are again, back around to Sunday. Monday is our day off from baking, this is where I try and come up with new ideas and work out the shopping list for the week.
My first thing to mention is the Chocolate Fudge cake I made, this was an 8 inch cake, to feed 10-12 people. I was asked if it could be sold in slices. When we started out nearly a year ago, we sold cake by the slice, we were often left with half a large cake, dry in the middle which the birds loved.
So, I suggest we meet somewhere in the middle and add a 4inch Chocolate Fudge Cake to our list of goodies, priced at £5 each.
Secondly, we went for a coffee today and noticed a dessert which sounded lovely but looked “oh so bought in” with a shed load of synthetic topping. So, I’m going to attempt a homemade one tomorrow. By the way, I won’t be saying where we went.
Finally, here’s is what we hope to offer next week.
Friday I will be making our regular Garlic & Coriander Focaccia and Saturday we will have Cornflake Tarts should anyone want to reserve some.
