Following another heart scare and almost a week long stay in the Gwent we should be up and running ready for Tuesday. As a few of you know I’ve been wanting a premises in Chepstow but alas, this latest health scare has hit home that we couldn’t possibly do this, especially with the high rents, I can just imagine another visit to hospital and still having to pay out rent whilst ill. So, with this in mind, we will continue to deliver in and around Chepstow, Bulwark, The Danes, Sedbury, Tutshill and Beachley. Also, feel free to collect from us. In addition, we will be delivering bread in Garden City, outside of here really wouldn’t be cost effective, however, like any other shop (I realise we are not a shop) you can buy from us direct.
Don’t forget we have an online shop, I have made a section with items that are available for immediate delivery or collection, I will try and keep this up to date by the hour.
We will be introducing the Salted Caramel Babka Knot at £1.25. The Blueberry and Raspberry Pavlovas will be making an appearance at £1.50.
The peanut brownies will be staying along with other favourites Vanilla Slices, Millionaire Shortbread and Chelsea Buns.
Bread is available everyday but you must order it the day before, it’s no good me baking 4 of each loaves, only to find the birds are benefiting.
We now have 4 different pasties available, Cornish, Chicken Bacon and Mushroom, Corned Beef and the Potato, Leek and Cheese pasty.
You will notice the online shop, here you will see the stock levels of everything we have. It’s all cash on delivery, so no need for debit cards and the such. I get notifications if you use the shop and then I don’t need to keep checking Facebook all the time, my mobile is caked in flour and cake batter now because of checking for missed orders on the phone.
Jen has been asking me to make cupcakes for teachers at the end of the summer term. So, if you would like any, please raise it on Facebook.
We had a slow week this week, not sure whether it was down to half term, end of the month etc but Friday and Saturday we picked up, selling out of all our pasties, vanilla slices and new edition chocolate eclair. In fact, I introduced the eclairs on Friday, sold out Saturday morning and had to make another batch, as well as more Vanilla slices.
We are in the middle of setting up my online bakery (http://www.justeatcakeshop.co.uk/ ) when you get to the checkout you have an option of cash on delivery or pay by paypal .
Either way, when you place your order, unless I’ve advertised the item on Facebook, I will need a day to bake the product. I’ve not finished putting things on as yet, I’m taking photos as I bake the cakes. If there’s anything you think I should put on there, drop me a line.
So it’s yet another bank holiday which can only mean cupcakes and afternoon teas. Last “Royal Wedding” weekend was so popular with our afternoon teas we are going to continue every weekend, it will still be £6.00 and include the scone with jam, cream & strawberry, vanilla slice, chocolate choux bun and victoria sponge.
For the cupcake fans we are making Gin & Tonic cupcakes, £1.50 each. Incidentally, Wednesday I have some Raspberry & White Chocolate Cupcakes and some Lemon Meringue Cupcakes.on order, so I figured I would make a few extra, again for £1.50 each.
Our permanent fixture are of course, Cornish Pasties (£2.20), Vanilla Slices (£1.75), Apple & Cream Turnovers (£1.75), Millionaire Shortbread (£1.40), Chelsea Buns (£1.25)
Next Saturday is the wedding of Harry & Meghan. To celebrate I am making Elderflower and Lemon Cupcakes, 6 for £7.50. I am baking to order, so if you are one to celebrate Royal wedding please order your cupcakes by Thursday evening so I can deliver to you on Friday afternoon / evening. Order below.
