Our First Govilon Experience

After 3 busy days of baking and prepping we experienced our first car boot at Govilon. What a shock to the system it was. We left home at 6.45am, I cant remember the last time I saw 8am, never mind leaving home at this time of the morning.

We had almost the full portfolio available but by 11.30 we had sold out, all bar a couple of mini loaf cakes and one Gluten Free loaf cake. Needless to say, we will double up a lot of our stock ready for next week.

So, I’m just sitting for a cuppa before I set off baking again ready for Monmouth Car Boot on Saturday, having to squeeze in 3 days baking in to 36 hours.

We hope to see you Saturday, armed with matchsticks for our eyes.

Good Day at Monmouth Car Boot

We’ve had a lovely day at Monmouth Car Boot Sale, it wasn’t as busy as previous weeks but we put that down to the regulars going away for the Bank Holiday weekend.

All our cakes bar 6 cupcakes sold out, to our dismay by 12.30pm. Next week we will be selling at Govilon Car Boot on Thursday and our hopefully in our usual spot at Monmouth on Saturday.

Considering we sold out early, we will be working extra hard not to sell out next week. I was considering adding Chelsea Buns and Cinnamon Whirls to the table. It was also suggested we sold some puddings, I would like to know your thoughts, I was thinking of a Pineapple Upside Down Cake and a Cherry Bakewell Sponge for starters.

If anyone would like to order a Gluten Free Cake, let me know and we will try and accommodate you.

So if all goes well, we will have:-

Cupcakes – Vanilla, Oreo, Raspberry, Lemon

Individual Loaf Cakes – Coffee and Walnut, Carrot, Traditional Fruit, Caramel Apple, Lemon Drizzle, Double Chocolate

New – Cinnamon Whirls & Chelsea Buns

Maybe – Pineapple Upside Down Cake & Cherry Bakewell Sponge (it’s lovely with custard)

See you there
